Wallpaper removal can be a tedious job, but with the right tools and know how you can make short work of it. You will need drop sheets to protect your carpet, a garden water sprayer, a spatula and rubbish bags.

We recently dealt with this on our own DIY project (see images) and we made it a bit of fun, roping other members of the family in.

Step 1. Using the spatula and prying it under the corners of the wallpaper sheets remove the top layer of paper.

Step 2. Using the garden sprayer filled with water and washing up liquid spray that onto the brown backing paper ensuring to soak it well.

Step 3. Using the spatula in the same way as the top sheet remove the backing paper.
